- Film Australia
Film Australia is a government-owned production and distribution company, and one of the nation's largest producers of television documentaries and educational programs. Through the National Interest Program it receives finance to devise, produce and distribute programs that deal with matters of national interest to Australia or illustrate and interpret aspects of Australian life. A new screen agency incorporating the Australian Film Commission (AFC), Film Finance Corporation (FFC) and Film Australia Ltd (FAL) will be created from 1 July 2008, to be named the Australian Screen Authority (ASA).

- Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) and SBS Independent (SBSi)
SBS is a national, public broadcaster with a special mandate to reflect the multicultural nature of Australian society. The principal function of SBS is to provide multilingual and multicultural radio and television services that inform, educate and entertain all Australians and, in doing so, reflect Australia's multicultural society. SBSi at: http://www.sbs.com.au/sbsi/index.html is responsible for commissioning a wide range of quality Australian drama and documentaries for screening in prime time on SBS Television. SBSi is responsible for the Special Production Fund of approx $7 million annually, allocated by the Federal Government, for the commissioning of quality Australian projects from independent filmmakers.
