Festival/AltDist/P&A

 

Festival, Alternate Distribution, and Theatrical P&A Marketing Support

Screen Australia offers three tiers of marketing support:

  • Festival Support to projects that have been accepted into key international festivals and are required to produce specific marketing and/or screening materials.

  • Alternate Distribution Support completed projects that have attracted the interest of a distributor at post-production or completion and require marketing and/or screening materials to exploit a specific commercial opportunity.

  • Theatrical P&A Marketing Support to completed drama and documentary projects that have a theatrical distributor attached, and are looking to enhance their proposed theatrical release.
Applications should be discussed in the first instance with the Marketing Information Officer, Marketing Support and Promotion Division.

AMOUNT
Screen Australia will determine the amount that it will contribute, considering the needs of the project and/or the requirements of the festival/distribution opportunity. Applicants can apply for a maximum of $20,000 for Festival or Alternate Distribution Support or a maximum of $500,000 for Theatrical P&A Marketing Support.
Total notional annual allocation: $1.65 million

DEADLINES
These programs are not assessed in rounds and do not have deadlines. Applications are accepted at any time but cannot be given retrospectively. Applications for Festival Support funds should be made as soon as festival selection is known, while applications to the Alternate Distribution Support and the Theatrical P&A Marketing Support funds should be made a minimum of 10 weeks prior to the proposed release date.
