After a near-death experience five boys, all devoted AC/DC fans, make a pact to bury whoever dies first next to their idol Bon Scott. Eleven years later these misfits have to fulfil their promise.

Darren Ashton won the Gold Mobie, ITVA, for his docu-drama The Greatest Game, The Greatest Shame and the Silver Medal, New York Film Festival (Industrial Section), for CIG - Life-Giving Gasses. In 1998 he wrote and directed his first short The Extra which won second prize at Tropfest and was nominated for Australian Film Institute Awards for Best Short Fiction and Best Editing. Thunderstruck is Darren's first feature as writer/director.

Jodi Matterson assisted Andrena Finlay on the Australian feature Me, Myself, I before spending a year in the UK as assistant producer and head of development at Mariner Films. She also worked on Australia's first cable television movie After the Rain in 2000/01 where her multi-faceted role incorporated the positions of assistant producer, casting coordinator, extras casting director and post-production coordinator. She has since formed Wild Eddie Films with Al Clark and Andrena Finlay.
