Kath Duncan is missing an arm and a leg. She was born without them. Now, thanks to the internet, she has discovered the weird and wonderful world of 'Amputee Devotees', people who are sexually aroused by stumps. Kath, an experienced radio broadcaster, political activist and feminist, is about to take the plunge. She is going to Chicago for the annual 'Fascination' meeting of deeves. For the first time in her life she will enter a world in which she will be looked upon as a sex object. Her stumps will here be seen as desirable. Kath is not a woman to let this opportunity pass her by. In addition to Chicago she has lined up a wild mix of other events. She intends to revel in it.
