Industrial Agreements

MEAA is the relevant union for all performing artists, entertainment industry technicians and production personnel.

The awards and enterprise agreements which specifically cover production personnel are:

  • Actors Feature Film Agreement, 2003
  • Actors Television Programs Agreement, 2004
  • Australian Television Repeats and Residuals Agreement, 2004
  • Actors' Etc (Television) Award, 1998
  • ABC Actors' Agreement, 2003
  • Australian Film, TV and Radio School Agreement, 2000
  • Motion Picture Production Agreement, 2002
  • Offshore Television Repeats and Residuals Agreement
  • Offshore Feature Film Agreement
  • Offshore Television Commercials Agreement
  • .
These agreements cover most aspects of employment for cast and crew in film and television production. They are binding between SPAA, the employer organisation of the Australian independent film and television production industry, and MEAA. MEAA has separate agreements with Village Roadshow Production Services, located on the Gold Coast, Queensland, and with Fox Studios in Sydney, New South Wales.
