Retail sales
of DVD players, recordable and non-recordable, 2003–2007
In 2007, almost 2.4 million DVD players were
sold at a value of $439.4 million. After strong growth in 2006, sales
of recordable players slowed in 2007, increasing by 6 per cent to 454,262
units with a value of $204.2 million. Sales of non-recordable players
continued to fall.
