Number of personal computers (residential and business) installed in Australia, 1984–2007

During the 1990s, the number of personal computers installed in Australia rose by more than 300 per cent, reaching 9.5 million in 1999. Growth has slowed substantially in recent years, with numbers rising to 10 million in 2001 and remaining at that level for three years; since 2004 growth has been between 3 and 4 per cent anually. In 2007, there were 11.3 million computers installed in Australia.
