Top 50 films in Australia of all time, ranked by total reported gross Australian box office as at March 2009; Australian films listed in bold

Seven new titles entered the all-time top 50 in 2008: The Dark Knight (6), Australia (13), Mamma Mia! (30) Quantum of Solace (35), Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (39), Sex and the City (45) and Kung Fu Panda (49).

There are now five Australian films in the list: Crocodile Dundee (4), Australia (13), Babe (14), Happy Feet (29) and Moulin Rouge (42).
