Features

In the 18 years since 1989/90, total production budgets of 10BA-financed features averaged $27.7 million per year, which included an average of $11.8 million per year of 10BA finance. A total of 176 features were financed through 10BA over that period (37 per cent of Australian features, including co-productions, produced in those years).

Documentaries

Documentary production boomed in the mid-1980s under the 10BA tax incentive scheme, but dropped when the incentive was reduced to 100 per cent – from 75 titles totalling $25 million in 1987/88 to 11 titles totalling $1.6 million in 1988/89.

Between 1989/90 and 2006/07, an average of seven documentaries a year were made with funds raised under 10BA; total value of production budgets raised averaged $4 million per year.
