This strand assists animation filmmakers to develop pitching materials for outstanding short animation projects or series.

Up to $5,000 for one-off animations OR up to $7,000 if a producer is attached.

Up to $7,000 for an animation series OR up to $10,000 if a producer is attached.

Total notional annual allocation: $80,000.

Funding is for

• The development of pitching materials for one-off animations up to 15 minutes.
• The development of pitching materials for animation series with individual episodes of any length.

• For animation projects up to 45 minutes see Strand A2. For feature-length animation see Strands A1, B, C, D and the IndiVision development strands F1 and F2.

• Individuals (a writer or writer/director) or teams (a producer, director and writer; or a producer and writer or writer/director) may apply.
• At least one member of the team must have one or more produced animation credits of any length.

• Animation series creators may apply for a second amount of funding if they have a written expression of interest from a broadcaster.
